We are pretty fortunate to enjoy nice weather practically year-round here in Henderson and Las Vegas. And with nice weather comes one of my favorite things to do – browsing the stands at local farmers’ markets around town.
If you haven’t been to a farmers’ market, they are pretty fun to check out with the whole family. Plus, they are FREE to attend!
You might run into a small market or maybe you’ll stumble across a large one depending on the season, vendors, and produce available.
Are you a farmers’ market person? If so, you might see us in your weekly or monthly adventures to a farmers’ market near you! If you do, be sure to stop us and say hello!
*Days and times are subject to change, verify hours prior to your visit. More dates will open up as the weather changes, so keep that in mind.
Tips for Your Visit
Bring Reusable Shopping Bags
Keep the cost for yourself and small business owners low, by bringing your own reusable bags for produce and products.
– My Favorites: Produce Bags | Shopping Bags
Wear Sunscreen
The Las Vegas summer heat can be brutal, so don’t forget some SPF before you head out the door. As we get into the warmer months, there will be less and less shade.
– My Favorites: SPF for Adults | SPF for Littles
Pets are Welcome
At most outdoor markets, pets are welcome to come and join in on the fun. Check the weather to ensure it isn’t too hot for them outside and don’t forget to bring their leash and portable water bowl.
– My Favorites: Travel Water Bowl
Bring Small Bills
Most vendors do accept cards, however, I always recommend bringing cash in small denominations. This keeps costs low for the vendors (no processing fees) and also can be advantageous to buyers if they offer a cash discount.
While we may not have the huge 100+ vendor farmers’ markets like you see in California, I’m pretty happy that we can still get access to farm-fresh produce and products supporting small business owners and continuing to stimulate our local economy.
